The City's fiscal year begins July 1st and ends on June 30th. Annually, South Salt Lake produces several important financial documents, including:

  • The Adopted Budget
  • The RDA Adopted Budget
  • The Annual Comprehensive Financial Report

The South Salt Lake Adopted Budget details how the City allocates funds to various City functions and services. Budget discussions begin in the Spring with the Mayor presenting a tentative budget by mid-May. The public is encouraged to comment on the budget at public hearings held during the budget process.

All financial transactions -- along with other useful financial information -- are reported in the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR), which is audited by an independent certified public accounting firm. The independent auditors then present the results of their work to the City Council.
