With the Ride United program, 2-1-1 will be scheduling rides for immediate assistance in these three areas:
Medical/Health services (e.g. a doctor's appointment and no alternative modes of transportation, or returning from the ER)
Food Assistance (e.g. visiting a food pantry or food stamps application)
Public Benefits (e.g. visiting DWS in person for benefits or applications, job interviews)
Rides must be originated in Salt Lake City. Round trip should not be over $50. An Information Specialist at 2-1-1 will be able to set up rides for the same day or up to 1 week out.
EV Charging Stations
SSL offers Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging at our City Hall, conveniently located for travelers on State Street, I-15 and I-80 and are open to the general public. The eight Level 2 EV chargers are connected to the ChargePoint Electric Vehicle network and can be used by anyone who has a ChargePoint account. The first 4 hours of charging are free, after which point users are charged $1.00 per hour for the power used.
