EV Chargers

EV chargers

South Salt Lake now offers Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging at our City Hall, located at 220 Morris Avenue. These are conveniently located for travelers on State Street, I-15 and I-80 and are open to the general public. The eight Level 2 EV chargers are connected to the ChargePoint Electric Vehicle network and can be used by anyone who has a ChargePoint account. The first 4 hours of charging are free, after which point users are charged $1.00 per hour for the power used.

The chargers were fully funded by a grant from the State of Utah Division of Environmental Quality through funds that were received from the Volkswagen Mitigation Action Fund for violations of the Clean Air Act. The project cost of $87,619 includes installation and also 5 years of service through ChargePoint.
