4. City of South Salt Lake Animal License Application

   The City of South Salt Lake requires all residents to register each pet on an annual basis. This allows South Salt Lake Animal Services to ensure you are in compliance with city ordinances, and also helps the city return lost pets that may be brought into the shelter.

   Note, unregistered pets may be subject to violation fees by SSL Animal Control Officers.

   A late fee of $10.00 per 30 days is imposed on late annual renewals.

49. Pet Microchipping

    Microchipping also allows us to find you if/when your pet is lost and brought in to SSL Animal Services.

    If your pet is microchipped, make sure you select the correct fee option above for a discount and enter your pet's microchip number below. 

    If your pet is not microchipped, you can bring your pet into SSL Animal Services for a microchip. Please call (801)  483-6024 to schedule an appointment.
