Meetings of the City Council, Planning Commission, and Civilian Review Board are all open to the public. Members of the community are encouraged to attend to provide public comments and stay informed of happenings in our city. South Salt Lake publishes a monthly print newsletter, delivered to doors inside the City Journal, and an e-newsletter sent by email the first week of each month. Subscribe to stay informed of City news, programs, and events.

Programs
Visit our CivicRec page to sign up for programs by the South Salt Lake Recreation Department and South Salt Lake Arts Council. There you can also find South Salt Lake facility and dumpster rentals.

South Salt Lake relies on a network of dedicated volunteers to support a variety of programs and initiatives, including art events, recreation programs, youth afterschool programs, and our animal shelter.
