Employment
The Human Resources (HR) Department is responsible for planning and coordinating many administrative functions throughout the city, from hiring and employment to worker relations and workplace disputes. Ensuring a friendly and efficient workplace for our nearly 400 City employees is our top priority.
HR also mediates workplace disputes including compensation complaints, discrimination claims, personal conflicts, retaliatory action claims, and sexual misconduct claims.
Employment & Hiring
HR advertises job openings, screens and reviews applications, and sets up interviews with prospective employment candidates. We also work with departments to determine the best fit for each opening, and communicate with prospective employees regarding their hiring paperwork, drug screens and background checks.
